Primary FRCA Structured Oral Examination (SOE)
The Primary FRCA Structured Oral Examination (SOE) comprises of 2 sections:
SOE 1: Candidates given 30 minutes to answer questions relating to pharmacology, physiology and biochemistry
SOE 2: Candidates are given 30 minutes to answer questions on physics, clinical measurement, equipment and safety, and clinical topics.
Primary SOE marking system
The examiners will give an individual mark for each section of the SOE 1 and SOE 2 examination. An overall evaluation is discussed among the examiners who will then determine an overall final closed mark.
